Miller Street Apartments is a 36-unit Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) property for seniors in Pittsburgh. This all-electric five-story building is designed to have exceptional energy efficiency with a HERS rating of less than 60, and meets the Enterprise Green Communities criteria. The main mass of the building is raised 15 feet above the ground and set back from the street edge for pedestrian-scale spaces with a wider avenue, generous sidewalks, seating, and a native plants garden area. These apartments are in a walkable residential neighborhood with access to services and transportation. This facility will include a program designed to provide job training to residents in partnership with the nearby Energy Innovation Center.
