Alicia Volcy
Vice President

Some might say that I’m extremely detailed but, I see myself as a visionary. I dream big and then throw myself into the details. As Vice President of NOMA Pittsburgh, I’m responsible for managing operations and procedures for the organization. As we set goals, I craft strategies to ensure that we meet and exceed them.

Something About Me

Alicia graduated from Florida A & M University at the height of the recession when positions in Architecture were scarce. She spent over two years working in life insurance before enrolling in the UDREAM Fellowship at Carnegie Mellon University which led her to Pittsburgh in 2011. The fellowship provided an opportunity to intern with Cannon Design and she accepted a full-time position with Massaro Construction Management Services later that fall.

Alicia’s career path has provided unique opportunities to learn the in’s and outs of the construction industry and the complexities of the Design-Build delivery method. The experiences were invaluable, but her love of Architecture led her back to design in 2015. Alicia currently works for IKM Inc. where she has been able to expand her resume and portfolio to include Healthcare Design projects.

In her free time, she’s most likely cooking, restaurant hopping or traveling with her husband, Riccardy.

My Goal
Use design to strategically drive positive change for those that are underrepresented, left behind or, completely forgotten about. Since we get to design the world we live in, we may as well make it great for everybody.
